How it works

How Summit Handles a Maintenance Request

From the first report to the final invoice, each request follows the same five steps.

A completed work checklist handed to the homeowner
  1. Submit a request.

Use the form or call. Describe the problem, add a photo, and say how urgent it is. Tenants submit with the owner's permission.

  2. Review.

Emergency requests are reviewed first. We confirm the trade, the urgency, and that the address is in our service area.

  3. Dispatch.

We assign a licensed partner and confirm an arrival window. You are told who is coming.

  4. Approve.

Work under your approved limit proceeds. Anything larger is quoted and held for your written approval.

  5. Invoice.

You receive photos, notes, and one invoice. Managed accounts receive a monthly statement.

For more detail by audience, see commercial facility maintenance and rental property maintenance.

What to do in an emergency

For fire, a gas smell, a carbon monoxide alarm, sparking electrical equipment, or flooding near electrical equipment, get everyone out first and call 911. For gas, also call We Energies at 1-800-261-5325. We coordinate repairs once the area has been made safe.
